Everything is top notch at this great business in downtown Edwardsville. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The coffee is fantastic! They use a great local coffee roaster, Goshen Coffee Company. The drip coffee is a great starting point. I have become a fan of the pourover option. You can also get your favorite lattes and cappuccinos. They’re all fantastic. Next, you can’t overlook their bakery case, freshly baked breads, sandwiches, and weekend brunch specials. The food is fresh and delicious. The cinnamon rolls are famous. The restaurant is a great atmosphere. It was originally a small, quaint space, and they recently expanded into an adjoining space that was recently left vacant by a business that moved. It has now become a place where you can comfortably feel okay about staying a little longer during the busy weekend and weekday mornings. Also, try the pizza when it’s available. It’s an overall great place to try some great coffee and food in a great environment on the fantastic downtown main street in Edwardsville, IL.

Our family is Vegan. We love that all their breads are vegan and love their pizza which is also on a vegan crust. Wonderful customer service and fabulous food. Great place!

They have cinnamon rolls that are out of this world. Their bread is outstanding. The varieties give me lots of sandwich options. If you don\’t need the bread or baked goods, it is a wonderful place to enjoy coffee or one of the special coffee drinks. They have great soups and I love the pizzas. The staff is friendly and make you feel very welcome. One of our Edwardsville Main Street treasurers.

Their bread and their pastries taste just like home. I’m from Denmark so I know great baking when I taste it 😉 My favorites are the sour dough, the croissants, and the strawberry danish. Oh, and the coffee is DELICIOUS!

The bakery is the best in the area! The staff is always genuine in their welcome, professional and patient. The coffee and pizza are my favorite and I would choose Artisan over anywhere else for this reason. They also make a great caramel, bacon & walnut pasty that holds a special place in my heart!

The bakery products are amazingly good. The breads and cinnamon rolls are standouts along with the bakery goods, soups, sandwiches, and the best pizzas in town! The coffee is the best as well. Finally, the owners and staff are welcoming and professional. 222 Artisan Bakery cannot be surpassed.
