One of the best shelters I have ever dealt within over 60 yrs of adopting rescue animals. Competent, professional and most of all, caring. They love the animals in their care and that shows in all of their actions and words. I highly recommend these folks if your looking for a pet. There is no need to make a puppy mill rich when there are all these sweet animals in need of a home.

they go above an beyond to take care of the animals, friendly & hardworking staff, you can see the animals are truly loved till they can find furever homes for them. Adopted a dog from them who fits right in here at my home an if I could would take more. They are just great in every way…..

They are the best rescue that Schuylkill County has. The animals that are there are given wonderful care and lots of love. I appreciate how thankful the volunteers and staff are when I drop off donations of needed items. I give them 10 stars!!!

Ruth Steinert is dedicated to helping homeless animals in Schuylkill County PA find great homes. They have compassion and understanding of the plight of animals who need assistance. The staff loves and cares for each animal as if it were their own.

This rescue has been the best I have ever worked with. They truly care about all the animals they adopt out. Always nice and always willing to help. We adopted our khali from here and when she got an infection from her spay they stepped in and helped make her all better. Everyone should check out this place. They truly care.

Everything they do is for the animals. They are great people, if you have any questions with there adoption policy or to sponser one they give you all the information thats needed. I went there to look at one dog they had and her adoption went thru. We do have a 5 year old dog that we were looking for a companion, we didnt have luck. They were going to keep an eye out if they got one in or pulled that would match good with him. Any shelter that would go that far to get an animal adopted is the great kind to have nearby. My family will continue to donate to this great shelter

The staff are always kind to the customers, wonderful with the animals, and constantly go out of their way to help all animals. Several times I have called after hours to report found animals, or to drop off lost animals, and someone has also been there to help. Just an amazing place with amazing staff! Thank you for all your hard work.

These are great people who work around the clock to help save animals in our area. They are very dedicated and caring people. THEY WORK HARD and ask very little. The animals are their main concern.
