Silent Wave Horse is an amazing all volunteer rescue whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and find forever homes for neglected and abused horses. They also rescue horses from the horrific slaughter pipeline. I witnessed them in action recently when they spearheaded the rescue of 8 neglected horses in Hood River who were living in horrible and dangerous conditions. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

A fabulous organisation who identifies where the greatest needs are, then regardless of personal risk goes and gets the animals and then seeks the best ways of treatment, trying to raise cash for the best course of action. Lisa gathers friends and other organisations, has indomitable spirit and works ceaselessly to achieve good lives for her charges. My admiration knows no bounds.

I can not say enough good things about Silent Wave Horse Rescue. They truly do everything they can to rescue horses in need, no matter how difficult. Lisa is a fierce, dedicated and supporter of all things regarding the treatment and care of horses. Her unwavering determination is matched by no one. She educated people on the reality and works to help improve the laws regarding horse slaughter, abuse and protection of America’s wild horse population. This rescue does it all. They take the unwanted horses, give them love, care and medical attention. They restore the horses confidence and then match them to the perfect, loving home after working with the horses. Lisa and Silent Wave is the most deserving Rescue of this award
