I have spent many vacations over many years at this wonderful establishment. This business is run by the dearest family that I have stayed with —-and I have traveled extensively. The area is rich with rustic charm and vast beauty. The property is located in one of the most breathtaking settings you can imagine. The clear, clean lakes, fresh air, mountains, wildlife and solitude are positively soul replenishing. While immersed in this wild nature you are only a short drive to legandary mountain towns filled with charm, great restaurants, art galleries, world class shopping and everything from authentic mountain gear to fabulous art work and culture. The available outdoor activities are unlimited in any season. Now to the best part of staying with The Cochrans is the over whelming sense of “coming home” that is genuinely felt when driving down the long driveway and meeting Margie and Cliff as they eagerly great you, grab your bags and welcome you with big, warm hugs. It truly is like coming to visit family. Every detail is attended to and the place is immaclate, charming and lovely. The views are of a splendid Adirondack lake, surrounded by deep woods and glorious distant mountains. Margie’s breakfasts are generous and delicious yet healthy and beautifully served in an amazing dining area. I have spent much time just sitting, talking and laughing with various family members. They are very knowledgable about wildlife and local features and places to see. As hard as I try, I am unable to fully express the vacation experience in this authentic, warm and relaxing beautiful home with this caring, expert family. Its a wonderful gift to give yourself!
