Great team, truly concerned and caring people. Their love for there animals is sincere and they work very hard for these wonderful dogs.

A few months ago my family and I began looking for a German Shepherd to adopt. We had gone to numerous shelters and adoption agencies. It was not until we came in contact with Vegas Shepherd Rescue, that our search was compete. We are not only delighted with our adopted pet, Kona, but the process in the adoption. Vegas Shepherd Rescue is a group of highly committed volunteers that take the time to match the right pet with the right family. After completing an adoption application, the team did their due diligence to confirm the qualification of the application. Including calling our vet to confirm other pets had vaccinations, a home inspection, and a meet and greet with several potential adoptable Shepherds. Throughout the process, we received follow up and encouraging emails from Shari and her team! After having dealt with VSR it was obvious that this group really looks out for the best interest of the dogs. Their network of contacts is extensive. And each dog receives a medical check up and all necessary shots prior to adoption availability. The VSR team a a group of really hard workers that donate their personal time to help our canine community! We not only adopted a forever family member, but we also met a wonderful group of people that we now call “friends.”

From their inception only 5 years ago to the current date, Vegas Shepherd Rescue has saved 500 precious GSD lives who would most likely not be here today otherwise. Led by the amazing Shari Dale and the Board, Vegas Shepherd Rescue has grown and thrived with the help of a mere handful of dedicated volunteers and donations. Vegas Shepherd Rescue is an amazing lifesaver for the German Shepherds of Clark County and I look forward to watching them grow and save even more dogs.

I have been involved with VSR since about September of 2013. Throughout my time with them, I have gotten really involved with behind the scenes paperwork and the vet work… I work at the vets office they use. Everyone is so kind and compassionate, and is truly in it for the dogs. Being that we have saved just shy of 500 dogs, VSR as been a huge asset to the Las Vegas community. They do what is needed medically for each dog, and works with them to make sure they are better mannered than when they came to us. They make sure each dog is spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on Vaccines, and makes sure they don’t have any GI parasites. I rescued my own dog, Luke, through them and he has completely changed my world. Learning the bond you get with a dog through working with them is unforgettable. Definitely a 5 star rescue.

VSR saves the lives of these beautiful k9s. Also,they have the answers to many of my German shep questions. VSR has a permanent place on my Christmas list. It\’s called giving back.thank u for what u do.

I first started following VSR in 2014 and was amazed at the work this rescue did to place many GSD’s in the right family home. They do this all with a volunteer corps of trusted and compassionate people. a great and noble breed they have placed 100’s of dogs into loving homes

We love Vegas Shepherd Rescue! We adopted our girl from them about four years ago. It has been such a positive experience that are getting to adopt from them again! Thank you VSR for all that you do for these special dogs and their new families!

Vegas Shepherd Rescue is a top-notch quality organization with dedicated, caring, and compassionate volunteers who devote their time and resources to save unwanted and homeless German Shepherds. They take the time to get to know the furry orphans in order to make the best placement in loving homes, and take care of any medical issues which need to be addressed. They require an application and home check prior to an adoption to ensure that the dog will have a quality and safe home environment. I adopted my beautiful Rachelle (VSR alum Rachel) from them almost 4 years ago. Rachelle was close to 7 years old and dumped at the local kill shelter. Her time was up, and she would have been put down if it wasn\’t for this fantastic rescue group. Rachelle is the sweetest, most loving, loyal, sensitive dog, and has brought me more joy and happiness than I could have imagined. I highly, and without reservation, recommend Vegas Shepherd Rescue to anyone who is in the market to adopt a German Shepherd. The Adoption Coordinator is fantastic and will do all that she can to ensure a positive and successful adoption experience.

VSR is comprised of a group of the most loving, compassionate, people I have ever met. They have saved the lives of so many shepherds who would have been destroyed and found them a loving home. This organization is five star!

We first learned about Vegas Shepherd Rescue back in April 2013, when we made the decision to adopt our first dog as a newly married couple. We filled out the adoption questionnaire, completed our home inspection, and then met some of the pups that VSR thought would be a good match for us. We ended up bring home Rambo (formerly Max), who became the light of our lives. Being first time shepherd owners, we had a ton of questions, which the volunteers at VSR patiently answered each time. They even offered free training classes which we took full advantage of. We fell so in love with Rambo and the VSR experience that we adopted another shepherd, Roxy (formerly Cara) from VSR shortly after in June 2013. Both of these dogs were truly wonderful animals who gave us so much joy and happiness, and we owe that to VSR for saving their lives in the first place. Unfortunately, we lost Roxy due to an unforeseen and untreatable illness in January 2016. The VSR volunteers were right there with us during this difficult time, mourning with us because they loved her as much as we did. They also helped to place us with another dog, Venus (formerly Keeley) when the time was right, since we couldn’t stand the void that Roxy left. Currently, both Rambo and Venus are in service dog training and both are doing excellent. All three dogs that we’ve adopted from VSR have brought so much joy into our lives, and we can’t thank the volunteers of this wonderful organization enough for their tireless efforts to save this amazing breed!

After losing our dog Bonnie from old dog disease at age 16 yrs, the home with me, my wife and kids were an empty place. My wife and kids went to the Vegas Shepard Rescue and found the perfect GSD (Maggie). The VSR staff was extremely caring people dedicated to fitting the right GSD with the right people. They were honest about their dogs age, health issues and past. We later got Vinny as a companion for Maggie from VSR. The organization relies totally from donations and NONE of the staff get a penny from the donations. It all goes to the dogs. I would recommend VSR to anyone looking for a GSD.

I have been involved with Vegas Shepherd Rescue since March of 2013, when shortly after losing our 14 y/o lab, Abby, we decided our German Shepherd, Cheyenne, and my husband and myself couldn’t stand being without a second dog in the home. So we contacted VSR and 5 days after losing Abby, we rescued a spunky pup named Beckett (who we re-named Ammo). He is the coolest dog. We love him to pieces. The people at VSR are amazing and truly care about their dogs and are committed to placing dogs in the perfect homes. Since adopting Ammo, my husband and I have been volunteering with VSR and have helped pay it forward. We love Vegas Shepherd Rescue!!
