The RI Parrot Rescue is a tremendous place! The staff is wonderful, warm and friendly. The birds are well cared for and treated lovingly. The staff are all volunteers! Place is always clean, which is no small task as anyone with a bird knows!

I’ve been following their story for years. Parrots are frequently abandond because their owners did not understand the commitment required. RIPR provides care and compassion for these wonderfl creatures.

Rhode Island Parrot Rescue takes excellent care of their parrot residents! Birds are fed a healthy diet, cages are clean, and the volunteers are friendly.

Volunteer only rescue completely dedicated to loving and caring for our \’residents\’ as well as preparing them for adoption. It\’s quite an incredible place!!!

Rhode Island Parrot Rescue does some incredible work! The managers, coordinators and volunteers are an incredible group of people. Some drive over two hours just to volunteer. The birds are taken care of and in some cases experience love from a human being for the first time. It’s amazing to see the turn around on these beautiful animals!

RIPR is an amazing exotic bird rescue. The volunteers lovingly receive birds who are surrendered for one reason or another. The birds are fed, cleaned socialized and loved before they are adopted out – a thorough and rigorous process to assure the best possible outcome for all.

I have been with RI Parrot Rescue for almost 2 years now. Not only did they bring me and my bird Casey together, they taught me everything I know about parrots and the reality of their quality of life in captivity. Our goal at RIPR is not only give birds their forever homes, but to educate the public about proper parrot care. We rehabilitate parrots who have lost their trust in humans and provide them with enriching toys, diet, and interaction every day. I will stand by this rescue. They are an absolute heaven sent for birds who need a second (or third or fourth or tenth) chance.

Rhode Island Parrot Rescue is made up of tireless volunteers that work everyday Caring for these birds. Cleaning their cages, preparing their daily chop, spraying them for their baths, making them toys for their cages,and talking & singing to these very sociable creatures. I have visited several times and am so impressed with what a wonderful caring place this is for homeless birds. The Parrots and Cockatoos are so we’ll treated and happy, they don’t even know that they are homeless. A wonderful Loving & caring bird rescue Always ready & willing to help birds in need.

RIPR is staffed by people who truly love what they do, and love the birds. They are selfless in their devotion to the rescue. I\’ve adopted from this rescue and know they are very professional and put the utmost care into rehoming.

They are an amazing group of staff and volunteers. When there was a hoarding situation in Redding CT they jumped into action working day and night to save as many animals as possible.

I’m a volunteer at RIPR. Volunteering here has enriched my life in so many ways. I look forward to coming to the rescue every week, and have made invaluable friendships with other volunteers whom I now consider to be great friends. I’m always learning more about the birds during my time at RIPR. We are a great team of volunteers who all work together for the benefit of 120+ feathered friends.
