The Washington Park Zoo is a up, close and personal zoo. It allows people from all ages to enjoy feeding the goats to watching the otters swim. The staff is committed to the animals and projects to continue to enhance the quality of it. TOP NOTCH!!

This is a small zoo, but it has a whole lot to offer and is constantly making improvements for the guest and the animals. The enclouseres may not all be “naturalistic”, but the animals are really happy and healthy. Every day the keeper staff give the animals some form of physical and mental enrichment, which is really fun to watch.
Some people may be dissapointed that the zoo dosn’t have as many animals as the bigger Chicago Zoos, but it does have a whole lot of historic character and family appeal.

Washington park zoo is our local zoo. I’ve been to it a bazillion times and we always have a good time! I love all the animals and I know some of their names. It’s a great zoo and the animals are well taken care of.
