My name is Kathleen Murphy and I have been creating and selling semi-precious jewellery in the Ottawa area for 8+ years. My work can be described as vibrant and bold yet elegant wearable art incorporating semi-precious stones and bronze metal clay.
I have been creating with my hands for as long as I can remember and after a career in hi-tech I am now fortunate enough to be able to spend most of my days doing what I enjoy best.
About 4 years ago I decided to delve into the world of metal clay so I bought a kiln, some books and set to work. It was not all plain sailing and there were some very frustrating days but I am now at a point where I am happily selling my pieces in galleries in the Ottawa area. During the summer you will most likely find me at the Ottawa Farmers’ markets or juried shows in and around Ottawa.
Many of my pieces are ‘one of a kind’…I hope you like them !
