I had never had a macaron before I tried Hummingbird. Now, I compare all of them to Hummingbird and I have not found anything even comparable. Their other desserts are delicious as well. The raspberry/lemon bar is delicious!!! The vanilla b-day cake macaron is my absolute favorite sweet!!!

They have the best desserts I’ve had in the Hampton Roads area. I think that many restaurants add dessert to their menu as an afterthought and it does not match the quality of their main courses, salads, or appetizers. However, Hummingbird focuses solely on desserts and they do an amazing job. They have a rotating menu and they are constantly seeking to improve the way they do things and their scope by incorporating new decadent options in their menu.
