There are lots of great animal rescue groups in this area, but Adopt an Angel is my fave! A truly dedicated bunch of volunteers do amazing things without a physical shelter, using foster homes. They don’t cherry pick the most desirable cats and dogs but often pull the overlooked animals who are running out of time at county shelters. And AAA’s widespread low-cost (often free) spay/neuter program through the Fix a Friend clinic is making a difference for the future. Adopt! Foster! Donate to Adopt an Angel!
