The Americas Basenji and Shiba Inu Rescue is an amazing organization. They go out of their way to help dogs in need and provided guidance for our first time fostering. We had a great experience working with them and they found a wonderful home for our foster dog. We can’t wait to work with them again.

Best rescue ever! I tried to find a rescue in Virginia to take a Sheba I had for only a few months and couldn’t keep (he didn’t do well with children) no one would help me. This rescue was awesome, helped me find a airline to fly him there and had volunteers to pick him up. Then they found him a great home. With out them my my fur baby would have been put down.

As a volunteer at an animal shelter, I often reach out to rescues and ask for help with dogs who need help. I contacted Americas Basenji & Shiba Inu Rescue for help with a young dog to whom I’d gotten quite attached, and not only did they jump at the chance to help, they found him a wonderful foster home, and then the perfect forever home. The people who run the rescue are kind-hearted, great communicators, and committed to helping! Without them, my special dog friend would not have survived.
