Barcycle

BarCycle is such a warm, vibrant coffee shop in the picturesque surroundings of Walsh Bay. The coffee is some of the finest in Sydney and the food menu offers good diversity, with some of the authentic homemade Italian dishes on the lunch menu a real hit! The service is always first class, led by the infectious owner Alberto Talone who always greets customers with a smile on his face and is always willing to engage in conversation and make everyone feel very welcome. To complement this, his lovely wife Liz that works very hard behind the scenes. Alberto’s passion is all things cycling and he offers group rides three times a week leaving the coffee shop at 6am sharp for those who share his passion and enjoy the social element of riding. The biggest compliment I can pay BarCycle is the diversity of customers it attracts… Of course there is a strong cycling core, both BarCycle and other cycling groups/clubs, but in equal numbers there are the non-cyclists, professionals, tourists and strong presence from the emergency services that can often be found enjoying a coffee on their well earned breaks. A truly wonderful coffee shop that would be very worthy of the ‘Fans Choice Award 2016.”

What is not to love about Barcycle. Great food, friendly and accomodating staff, good wines and very well priced. This was my go to place when I lived in Sydney and I’ll definitely go there when I go back to visit.

Alberto’s family and their crew make you feel welcome immediately, the ambient is relaxed yet vibrant! Their coffees are amongst the best in Sydney and the food is classical Italian perfection. On top, if you like cycling, there is a bike mechanic shop on site that offers quality equipment and impeccable service, Alberto and Brian know their stuff!

Fantastic, friendly service in a beautiful location, with great coffee, lovely food and you can even get your bike fixed while you’re there! Everyone at Bar Cycle is so warm and welcoming it makes going for a coffee a great experience.

There are many reasons why I support Barcycle. The main ones are:- The service, they are prompt, happy, they make you feel special – as if you are a member of a special club and nothing is too much trouble. The product, the coffee is perfect, the cakes, meals are delicious – Liz is an excellent cook! The venue, its a small place but located near all the iconic spots in Sydney. All this and I haven’t spoken about the bikes, sale and service which is second to none. Barcycle – Albert and his team are the best. Go there, enjoy your time, food, conversations and admire the bikes and you’ll see why they deserve to win.
