Dr. Steelman and her team have created this sanctuary for the cats that need lifetime medical care. Visits are encouraged … especially when you want to experience total unconditional love. They can always use (Friskies) wet food, towels, newspapers, and donations to cover the cost of these cats medical care. There is a low cost spay/neuter clinic each month at Bonanza Cat Hospital to help control the Las Vegas cat population. This is a wonderful organization!

I have been a client of Bonanza Cat Hospital for over 15 years. There isn’t anywhere else that I would trust to take better care of my babies! Dr. Steelman and her entire staff always exhibit professionalism, quality medical care and most importantly, kindness. I know they truly care about my cats well beings. I highly recommend them!!!

OMG, I could write review after review about the wonderful Dr. Steelman and BONANZA CAT HOSPITAL. I’ve been going there since she was at her first location on Bonanza, and then followed her to the Lake Mead location, and now to the beautiful building that she actually PURCHASED on Sky Pointe. She’s been my vet for about 16+ years. We currently have eleven cats, all shelter rescues and/or strays. Dr. Steelman treats each and every cat as if it were her own. She takes all the time necessary to exam the cat, decide on a course of treatment, and talk with the cat’s owner. Oh yes, she’s there from about 9:00 A.M. and stays sometimes until 2 or 3 IN THE MORNING — no 9 to 5 doctor here. It’s not uncommon for her to call a cat owner at 10:00 P.M. at night to give an update on their cat. And, amazingly, with all the individual care she gives, her prices are consistently LOWER (much lower) that most of the other vet practices. She’s NOT in it for the $$$ – she cares about the cats. You can bring your cat to the BONANZA CAT HOSPITAL and know that your cat will get all the care and attention it requires. And you won’t go broke paying for it either.

I brought my older cat, Amos, in to Bonanza Cat Hospital after leaving a former vet that just didn’t seem to care. Amos had a lump on the back of his head that had quickly grown from pill-size to peach pit size in what seemed like days. Amos was treated with loving care and kindness (as was I), the lump surgically removed immediately and he’s since recovered nicely. At Bonanza you can see that they have real empathy for all cats!

Bonanza Cat Hospital is by far the best \”cat only\” vet in Las Vegas. Dr. Steelman is so committed to her clients and doing anything necessary to keep their cats healthy. She was my vet for over 10 years when we lived in Las Vegas, we have relocated for retirement to Arkansas and not a day goes by that I regret not having her available for our cats, it is the only thing I miss about Las Vegas! If I have a cat that needs a specialist, I will fly to Las Vegas with the cat, for her expertise…she is that good! I love the fact she is a \”cats only\” practice, no barking dogs to upset the already stressful vet visit for the cat.

BHS and Dr. Steelman came into our lives when we were newcomers to Las Vegas and our beloved cat, Pounce, became very ill. We didn\’t know anyone to ask for recommendations. We called every Vet in Vegas and they were the only ones who said to bring her in immediately. They saved Pounce and provided excellent care for the next 10 years for her and her brother, Hobie. When Pounce died Dr. Steelman cried with us. When we went to her to ask help in finding another cat who would be a match for our family she decided on Tammy, a rescue cat from the Poppy Foundation. Tammy, now Anyanka, has been such a blessing and such a joy to us. Hobie died after we moved from Las Vegas but when I called to tell the Bonanza staff and Dr. Steelman, they mourned with us. We have never experienced the love and compassion we found at Bonanza Cat Hospital. We referred several friends in Las Vegas to them and talk about them often with cat loving friends in Washington State. They go above and beyond and do it not for money but for love of cats.
