Bullock County Humane Society

Bullock County Humane Shelter is an amazing shelter staffed by a tiny group of incredibly dedicated people. They go extra miles for every pet that finds its way to them. They see promise in pets who’ve been abused, neglected or who are even feral. They work so very hard for each and every pet to have a happy home. Truly one of the best county shelters in Alabama.

This group works tirelessly to save animals and get them into forever homes. I’ve transported some of their animals and they are an amazing bunch of people

We love the Bullock County Humane Society. We adopted Buddy from them in 2014 when our Beagle died. He was to be a playmate with our female dog Kela. He was well behaved and very loveable and he still is this day. That shows they spent a lot of time/hours with him. They have do wonders with many dogs, just in the few months too many to share about in this little space here. They are awesome and desired to be the winner. Because they do so much with so little to work with. We are so proud of the Bullock County Humane Society.

Bullock County Humane society not only goes out of their way for the pets they care for but they go out of their way for the community. They do such an amazing job with the animals and they care deeply. They do the best they can for every animal that comes their way. There\\\’s just so much heart and soul in this place! The manager works her butt off to keep the place running smoothly. I personally volunteered there and it was the greatest experiance I\\\’ve ever had! Please select them, this small town shelter truly deserves it!!

I foster for the fabulous Bullock County Humane Society. It is a wonderful place that finds homes for the dogs and cats that end up in their care. Some are adopted locally, but many are sent to extraordinary foster based rescues all over the country. For a shelter in a small, rural county of Alabama, they do an amazing job. I don\’t even live in that county- I am nearly 50 miles away, but I choose to foster for them because they make happy ending happen for my pups!

BCHS is a phenomenal shelter run by some of the most loving, and ambitious people I’ve ever met. They strive to make a difference in the lives of unwanted, abused, and surrendered pets and give them a new chapter in life. Countless hours and dollars are spent on medical bills, transport, and facility costs to make sure the animals get nothing but the best! Our family has had the privilege of fostering five Bullock Babies in the past and the process was so smooth and effortless. It was such an honor to be a part of the pet’s chapter of change and hope! This shelter is absolutely one-of-a-kind with its network of workers and volunteers who have a fierce passion for the well-being of animals! My family and I fostered a pregnant pit bull almost 2 years ago. She had bee picked up by Bullock County Humane Society while living on the street. Kacey needed a safe, quiet place to have her puppies. Five days later, she had 10 puppies. Arrangements were made for Kacey and the Sunshine pups to go to a rescue up north. The staff and volunteers at Bullock County put their animals first and they do everything they can to ensure the animals receive medical care and food on a shoe string budget. This organization deserves to win. They truly care about their animals and go above and beyond to ensure as many as possible are adopted or sent to rescues.
