I am a fan of cats haven ever since I adopted Squirt. She’s such a joy that I can’t imagine life without her presence. All of the cats at Cats Haven deserve the special love and care that Barbara and the staff provide. It’s one of the most special places I know in Indianapolis.

Cats Haven is a unique place that caters to special needs and elderly cats. These cats would not have a life if not for Cats Haven. It is such a joy to see these cats thrive in this home like environment. I am so thankful for the compassionate care they give.

We have adopted 3 times from Cat’s Haven. The kitties we have adopted are the best, and so is the caretaker, Barb Wills. The shelter is cage free, and all the animals are loved and well cared for. Barb works tirelessly to rescue and house so many kitties that otherwise would not have a second chance. Cat’s Haven is the best!

Cats Haven was the first no-kill shelter in Indianapolis more than 25 years ago. Barb & her volunteers are still going strong! Cats Haven saves, loves & cares for older and special needs cats for the remainder of their lives when no one else will.

When I visit Cats Haven, I can tell that the cats are happy and well cared for. The cats are given the love and care they need to thrive. The special needs cats are truly amazing to be around, an inspiration. These cats would not have been given a chance at life if it weren’t for the work of Cats Haven.

I have volunteered for Cats Haven in the past and it is a thankless, never ending job to care for all the special kitties that call the rescue house home. I have also adopted two of my three cats from them and I love them dearly. Barb not only knows all the cats’ names, but can tell you their personality and if they will be a good fit for you. I highly recommend this rescue.

This place gives a second chance to those who otherwise probably would not have that chance they take in senior cats and cats with special needs the ones who probably would never get adopted they live in a beautiful house it is referred to as their house the cats own the house it is free roaming and they have a very large enclosure outside that they can go into. This is the best cat sanctuary in Indianapolis

Why else its the oldest cat rescue/sanctuary in Indianapolis!…… Founder Barb Wills ,and all the volunteers rock, the cats spend there last days happy! The specialize in special needs cats and elderly ones too , as well as some regular healthy cats too!….. The house is awesome, and clean. The outside catios are awesome………. Please Pick CATS HAVEN ! When I go there I feel like I am at home. I am greeted by all these wonderful cats that may not have had a chance if it wasn’t for Barb Wills founder of the shelter and her wonderful employees and volunteers. They unconditionally love all these cats. They do everything they can to make sure they have the best life they can. Some cats come there because they are at the end of their life but they are not treated any differently than the others. Also some cats come there because they outlived their parent. Every cat that comes in there is very lucky even if they don’t get adopted because Cats Haven is their home no matter what. They are totally funded by donations and the founder even makes jewelry to sell to fund the shelter. I love this place because everyone there is as passionate about cats like me.

Cat’s Haven is a wonderful place to visit. The people are so friendly and dedicated to helping felines. It’s fun to go there and just hang out with the kitties. If it wasn’t for Cat’s Haven most of those kitties would be put to sleep. Stop by and see for yourself. It’s a happy, heartwarming place and I look forward to my next visit!

I am a huge fan of Cats Haven! These lucky cats get to live in a home environment and there are enough employees and volunteers to give them lots of love. Most of them are special needs kitties that are pulled from shelters that need special care and Cats Haven always provides for them.
They have open houses a few times a year where the public can go in and see these precious babies and the wonderful care they receive.

Cats Haven is a wonderful shelter house that specializes in special needs and elderly cats. It is a free roam house; the cats are not confined to cages unless there is a medical need to keep them confined for a while. So they get to roam the whole house and be a cat. Wonderful caretakers and volunteers. Call them and ask about cats that are available for adoption.

Visiting the cats in the open room environment you can tell they are well cared for and loved. Many have been abused and tossed out and have found their furever home here. Only love is found in this home. Their doors are open and you can go and sit with kitties anytime to just visit!

This wonderful organization takes in the cats that are thought to be unadoptable, due to illness or age. They often have community events in order to educate people. They also help support other organizations in town so that all the kitties have a place to go. I love this place.

I love Cat’s Haven.
I met Barb, the caretaker, 20 years ago and I loved from the get-go what she did.
She dedicates, along with her many long term supporters, the time to care for the many, many cats in their care, many of the cats they have would not be here if it weren’t for her.

They give senior and special need cats and kittens a wonderful place to live.
Home setting, enclosed outside place and lots of soft places to rest
