I saw the old shelter and it\\\’s history. I see the shelter as a positive place for animals to be loved while they are there. To find forever homes when they leave. wonderful care is taken of these animals. They are treated like family pets, they are loved, I have seen the staff cry when one comes in hurt by someone.

This little shelter went from a 90% kill rate to over a 90% save rate in just a couple of years, due to new management and lots of dedicated volunteers.

The workers and volunteers at Chesterield County, SC Animal Services are kick ass!
They honestly and truly care about the animals and their welfare! They work tirelessly constantly to help each and every animals needs and get them adopted or out to rescue!
Without the volunteers comin in to take pictures, walk, interact and socialize these poor souls and post and cross post them out to rescues and groups to help get them noticed, the animals would be invisible!
There isn’t any distance this group of car got people wouldn’t go to help the voiceless!

this shelter is awesome ! it is well ran and they truly care about the well being of the poor animals that have to be there , they work tirelessly to find loving homes or rescues for all the precious souls ..every shelter should be exactly like chesterfield

This shelter has the most amazing staff and volunteers!!! The animals are well cared for and networked all over. I\’ve never seen such a \”family\” in a shelter. I wish all Animal shelters had a group like this!

Administration and volunteers have made CCAS the best in the state of SC. Coming from a high kill rate not too many years ago to its current save rate of about 90% is no small feat. We are proud of our Animal Control!
