Remember your first dog(or cat)? Remember how anyone who cared for your “best friend” made you feel? Dr. Blease was my dog’s first vet when he was a puppy starting at Christmas, 1973. Fast forward to now: I started visiting the animal residents and making regular donations to CSA in 2014. I noticed how dedicated the staff are to the animals(it’s not just a job) and I wanted to get involved and help, so I started volunteering last year. I look forward to going there every week.

common sense is a no kill shelter that is very dedicated to help animals. The staff is nice and helpful with what ever you need. I have adopted to cats from common sense for animals and will continue to adopt from there in the future.

Don’t be fooled by this place. They might as well be considered a puppy mill… “rescuing” more dogs than they can care for from the south, bringing them up here, heart-worm positive, and failing to treat them. Their staff is rude, their facilities are incapable of providing comfort in the freezing winter months or the sweltering summer months, no improvements have been made in god knows how many years, makes you really wonder whose pocket all the customer’s generous donations are finding their way into.

Best local shelter. Even saving out of area animals.
