Amanda has been amazing building her small but growing business. She has accomplished so much over the past few years and in my opinion is one of the best lockticians in Ballarat. Looking after 2 small children and a business is never easy to juggle but Amanda has been a inspiration for other young mothers. She definitely deserves to win this award.

Best darn dreads you’ll find! Got all the knowledge that guided me over my original apprehension of getting dreads!!! Swell workers who are always down for a chat and they offer the sickest dread beads and accessories you can imagine! Wouldnt go anywhere else!!! (And people often try and recruit you to go elsewhere as well, you’d be surprised!!)

On my first visit she was patient and took the time to explain the process, always provides great after service and advice and is so experienced, quick and gentle, I can’t even feel her working on my hair. Amanda is absolutely amazing, by far the best locktitian I have been to and the only one I now trust with my dreads. She is so gentle and the salon is such a chilled environment. I recommend Dangerous Dreads and Threads with pride to anyone who asks where I get my locks maintained, I have Amanda to thank for the condition my hair is in, she literally saved my dreads for the horrible condition they were in when I first met her. In 2013 I was Amanda’s real estate agent. It was then that she told me that she had started undertaking a course to become a dreadlocktician. A year later in 2014 after I had left the real estate I got my dreads from Amanda which I still have to this day. I got to see her from the very beginning of having a dream and watched her bring it into reality. Dangerous Dreads and Threads came into being by a very determined and welcoming family orientated woman who has succeeded where others would think it would be impossible. I am definitely a fan 🙂

I’ve dreamed of getting dreadlocks my entire adult life. After a lot of research I chose to go to Dangerous Dreads & Threads because they were trained in the Sista System and I am so glad I did! My dreads are AWESOME. People stop me in the streets to ask where I got them done almost everyday. Best of all, the dreads were made without waxes or chemicals, no loss of length or pain whatsoever (which is typical of other dread techniques and lockticians). Bottom line: I am the happiest I have ever been with my hair in my whole life. Amanda is talented, and friendly and accommodating. And her salon carries pretty much everything you could ever dream of if you have dreads – from swim caps to beads, from wraps to headbands and all natural vegan products. Love this place ❤️❤️❤️
