Dark Horse is THE BEST. I spent 30 years in Naperville and always felt a void where a good pastry shop or bakery would fit in. After visiting Dark Horse for the first time, I was SOLD!
Everything on the menu is fantastic. They’ve mastered the basics like cookies and cupcakes, and are second to none with the more decadent options. Hello, chocolate croissant!
If sweets aren’t your thing, you will certainly not feel left out. The lunch menu changes daily, and I’ve never been disappointed. Have you ever had a grilled ham/cheese/tomato on beignet dough? Because you should. ASAP.
Dark Horse is a welcomed addition in Naperville, and even though I’ve recently moved ~30 miles away to Chicago, I still find myself driving there on the weekend to get my fix. 🙂

Dark Horse has amazing breakfast sandwich option and pastry specials galore! My husband and I go there a couple times a month for Benige’s and I’ve order two pies during the holidays that were a huge hit! The chef is amazing tonwork with and always coming up with yummy donuts and desserts, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a bakery that have more then just donuts! Yumm!

Absolutely LOVE Dark Horse Pastries. The first time I tried them, Chef Terrell had a setup in front of a brewery, and I was blown away by the deliciousness of the sandwich I ordered, so I went back to his stand and ordered a piece of carrot cake. After one bite, I immediately asked him if he did wedding cakes. He made my simple carrot cake wedding cake for me several months later, and arranged for delivery to my venue during my reception! Both the food and customer service level of Dark Horse Pastries is outstanding.
