I’ve been going to Folklore for at least three years now, and I’ve loved it since day one. Pony Lee always gives me the best haircuts, he never rushes, and always works hard to get it right. The rest of the staff is awesome too; Sparrow’s coloring skills are out of this world, and Madin can do incredible things with hair. The salon itself has a really cool ambience, with lots of vintage furniture and cool mason-jar light fixtures. The prices are appropriate for LA and for the quality of haircut you can get. More than anything else, they make people of all identities and orientations welcome. They are queer owned and operated, and they don’t do “mens” or “womens” haircuts…just long or short hair. You can go there to get that awesome queercut you’ve been eyeing but were too afraid to try! All in all, this salon is awesome and deserves all of the awards.

I have been going to folklore since I moved here from the east coast in April. It is the most inviting salon I have ever been to. All the stylist are amazing and true artist at their craft. They provide the highest quality service, in a warm professional and welcoming environment. They make you feel like family as soon as you step into the door. I would highly recommend folklore to anyone looking for a great salon.
