Dr. Barry Ginsburg opened his practice in 1979. His close ties to UAB and his involvement as head of Pediatric Dermatology at children’s hospital quickly made him a leader in his field. In the early 1980’s he opened Skin Dynamics, one of the first medical spa’s in the country. It specialized in acne treatments and chemical peels.

He began his aesthetics when he was the first doctor in Birmingham to treat spider veins and inject Collagen. When liposuction became an outpatient procedure thanks to the work of Jeffry Klein he traveled to California to learn his technique and soon became the leading physician in Birmingham to perform tumescent liposuction and then SmartLipo.

He also soon began to use other fillers like Restylane and became a certified trainer for Bellafill the longest lasting cosmetic filler on the market. Neurotoxins like Botox and Dysport were also integrated to treat facial expression lines.
