I have been a volunteer here for 5 years so believe me when I say that this shelter is filled with love! The dogs are loved by every volunteer beyond measure. 365 days a year the dogs are walked, played with, vetted, fed, and showered with affection and attention.
The shelter is run 100% by a very small group of unpaid volunteers. The County has no money, so we are sustained by donations from the public, and we are located in the county landfill.
Despite all of the strikes against us, we persevere in our mission to save “one dog at a time” and have rescued more than 1,000 dogs from euthanasia in the past 12 months.
If I could rate HAA as 10 stars I would!!
