HiCaliber Horse Rescue

HiCaliber goes above and beyond to save every single horse they can! They really are passionate about horses and regularly save horses at auction that normally would go to slaughter. I will forever be a fan! We need more people like them in the world.

HiCaliber is the most active rescue in California. They do a wonderful job of rescuing horses and getting them adopted.

Never have I seen a more badass group of Ladies and volunteers who tirelessly work for the better well being of so many horses!!!

Best of the best horse rescue out there.

Having volunteered at and donated to a couple of horse rescues in my area, I can see that there is something very special about HiCaliber Horse Rescue. Their rescue protocol, immediate medical intake, and the updates made to the followers are all beyond reproach. Their motto of “Horses first always” rings true every time. This group thinks outside the box and it works for them! It’s amazing to be a small part of something so awesome.

This group of ladies, are the most honest, and real rescue out there. It’s not about egos. It’s 100% about the horses. I have never seen another rescue organization like them.

They save EVERY SINGLE HORSE from the horrors of auction, they are the real deal! You can watch the horses freedom walk after they’ve been saved from being processed for food/meat in Mexico.

Because no matter what it costs them personally they ALWAYS do what’s right for the horses.

Very,very dedicated in the awful business of killpen horses. Above board in their honesty and openness on all aspects of their horse rescuing. They show the bad along with the great. I can’t say enough about this awesome charity horse rescue organization.

I had the honor to visit HCHR and see for myself the rescue. I was blessed to be given the grand tour by Kimberly Roeh. I was speechless by the end. I saw so many beautiful horses and volunteers working tirelessly. Everyone had a job, and they all were having a good time. There are teams that coordinate the auction, intakes, medical exams, fosters, adoptions, feeding, cleaning, etc. There are Facebook pages, schedules, spreadsheets, contracts, home visits, fosters, and hundreds of volunteers that keep this rescue going. Even the adoption contract is by far the most detailed and iron clad I have ever signed. We realized we wanted to support, encourage, and be an HCHR villager. What impressed us the most are the truly loving, compassionate volunteers that always put the best interest of the horse first. From the top down, as Michelle has made many personal sacrifices to be the voice for the voiceless. The follow up is unprecedented and the transparency is unequal to any other rescue. They reveal the good, the bad and the ugly. You never wonder, “What ever happened to that horse?” We have since adopted seven special needs horses from HiCaliber. All are daily witnesses to the powerhouse of a village that champions for the underdog. Thank you for accepting us into this village. We feel blessed to be a part of a family around the world that loves the thrown away horses.

I’ve been watching this rescue for awhile. They are kickass real women with a passion for what they do. They keep it transparent the good the bad the ugly. It doesn’t matter they show it all! They laugh and keep things as fun as possible. They do things outside of the box to save and rehab these horses witch is what this rescue is all about! THE HORSES!!!! I have so much respect for this rescue…. I share all posts and donate with my friend when possible. They make me feel like apart of hicaliber witch is more then any other rescue has ever done. They value their followers and leave choices up to us and I love being included. They have so many awesome live streams of all the scientific stuff that goes down at the ranch witch happens to be my favorite. I have learned so much from these women and I am looking forward to learning more.

I am a fan because they give their all when it comes to saving horses, they go above and beyond what most do, they are transparent and keep fans and supporters involved. They are amazing and i will be a supporter for as long as i am breathing

I’ve been watching HiCaliber for more then a year now I absolutely love what they stand for they speak for the ones with no voice plus they’re a pretty funny but serious bunch of ladies

They have a huge heart for horses. They go above and beyond to rescue, heal(mentally and physically), train and find homes for them. They are the most caring people I have seen.

The number of horses rescued last year was over 500. How many other rescues can say they did that. The number of adoption is amazing. Their villagers are world wide. They show everyone the good and bad of rescue. They teach everyone as they go. We love to ride the ride with them.

HiCaliber Horse Rescue is absolutely amazing for a thousand reasons, but the most important reason is their motto- “HORSES FIRST, ALWAYS”. In the rescue environment, it’s a struggle to find the middle ground between what your heart wants, what funds will allow, and what’s best for the animal. HiCaliber puts the horse’s best interest first, even if the decision isn’t easy to make.

Hicaliber goes above and beyond for horses every single tues at auction. They also take in owner surrenders. I adopted my percheron from them and currently foster for them. I love that they are real and always put the horses first.

I can’t say enough GREAT things about what HiCaliber does. In 2016 alone, they saved 448 horses, many of which would have gone straight to slaughter, and 228 horses were adopted out to forever homes. In a two week period from Feb 20, 2017 to March 6, 2017, 15 horses were adopted out to their forever homes as well. HiCaliber attends a weekly livestock auction and through their efforts and relationships with the auction house and the local horse flipper, they have been able to prevent a single horse shipping to slaughter from this auction since December 2015. I have been to the ranch many times. Sometimes random and unannounced. I recently spent 5 days volunteering there. I have never been more impressed with the care horses receive at a ranch. I can’t say enough good about HiCaliber. They’re the most active horse rescue in the nation, and I’m proud to call myself a HiCaliber supporter and donor.

I am not a fan. This rescue could be the poster child for how to scam money from unsuspecting people. All they do is collect horses, and then ignore many of them until they get sick, upon which time they will pretend to be vets, which makes things worse. A recent example: A horse named Boyer was presenting with signs of colic. They didn’t have a stall for him so tied him up in the barn aisle for five days. Of course, now he is really sick, so they have to beg for donations because he’s now at the vet clinic. The CEO went back on her word about not supporting kill buyers and is paying David Misner under the table in cash, pretending they are saving the horse from slaughter. Don’t fall for the lies.
