I drove across 2 counties to adopt my dog from Greene County Humane Society. The staff was more than helpful and polite in answering all my questions before the trip and after adoption. They do have a very strict adoption process which is great to see they care to whom these animals go. They even called my house after adoption to check on us and our new family member! Wonderful small shelter, not flashy or fancy, just full of love and hard work for these animals.

I have adopted 5 dogs and 9 cats from the Humane Society of Greene County. They have a very strict adoption process because they only want the best for their animals. They are so caring and loving.

The Humane Society of Greene County is a great place, everyone there is nice and helpful. When my mom and I recently found a kitten we couldn’t keep they took her in and she was able to be adopted in just a few days. The Humane Society makes sure that their animals go to good people who will give them a furever home, just like they did when my parents adopted my best buddy, Chance, from them years ago.

We have adopted dogs from the Humane Society of Greene County for almost 30 years. They show great love and concern for every animal that they come into contact with. They are also very kind to the humans they encounter. We fully support this shelter and its staff, especially Jane Gapen!

The Humane Society of Greene County is a small rural shelter. They do a lot of good for the community. They have small staff that work their butts off to keep the shelter clean. They give excellent care of all the animals. They have a very strict adoption process, they want their animals to have the best homes. They have only 1 Humane Officer for the WHOLE County! Thankfully, they get a lot of volunteers to help with whatever needs done.
