Terrific breakfast pastries, bread, and cakes. This Christmas, the Buche de Noel was beautiful to look at and tasted great but everyone completely raved about the tarte tatin. Just amazing! On top of that, the staff at Mt Lebo could not be better! Keep doing what you are doing!

After living most of my adult life in Shadyside, I moved to Altoona to take care of my Mother. Since then, I have made “bakery runs” to La Gourmandine for their brioche with the raspberry jam and almond filling and the almond croissants! The best bakery in PA!

This holiday season was the second we had La G pastries…I’m not going to be welcomed anymore without them. The buche de Noel is always fantastic, but the raspberry version had non-dessert eaters raving. My personal favorite is the almond croissant. Eating a La G pain au chocolate brings back delicious memories of my time in Paris.

Absolutely beautiful and delicious authentic French pastries served by the loveliest staff. Yummy, fresh croissants–chocolat and jambon are favorites. Our chocolate Bouche de Noel was gorgeous and the star of the day on Christmas. I have never been disappointed.

La Gourmandine is nothing but authentic. I tend to visit the Lawerenceville shop. From the moment I walk in, I’m immediately transported to France. Fabian and his team are second to none.

Best bakery in Pittsburgh! Over the holidays we had pastries from France – La G’s were much better. Kudos to the bakers and staff at both locations! Keep doing what you do, and good luck with this contest. You’re the best <3
