This is a unique salon that does a beautiful job with hair, but goes way beyond that to having a play area for children while waiting, a sensory room for children or adults who are sensitive to the salon experiences, nail salon and messages. They truly cater to individuals and their needs.

I love Locks & Tots! The entire staff is welcoming and friendly. The details in seevices are exactly what I ask for. The pricing is just right and in my budget. Where else can you go to be pampered and bring your kids and/or grandchildren along to have a fun time as well? The sensory room is designed with love for so many with special needs. There is something for everyone to enjoy!

The staff is talented and skilled, doing what you want. The special attention to children and especially challenged children is wonderfully unique. Locks and Tots takes the idea of a salon and magnifies it to touch each individual and their needs whether it is a child, mother, man, older person, handicapped, or whatever. In the sensory room a child may get a haircut in a chair OR on the floor, if needed. There’s no place else like it. It needs to be duplicated so many more can benefit.

Where do I start? Our little boy (5 yrs) has autism and sensory processing disorder. That means that even the lightest touch or sound or vibration is magnified a million times for our boy. We struggle with many things. One of them is getting a hair cut. We found Cheryl at Locks & Tots and were saved! The salon is so inviting and friendly. Everyone is wonderful and kind. You can grab a drink or snack and relax. Your child can play in the play room or garden. There is no stress or pressure. This was the first haircut ever that we didn’t feel like we had been through a war. He was happy and chatting and playing. It was an amazing experience! We will never go anywhere else again. It is worth the drive for us. I cannot express enough – if you or your child has sensory needs or autism or special needs, you need to go to Lock & Tots! Getting a haircut without feeling you have been through a war is possible here! Before we started going to Locks & Tots, we went to another child friendly place. This other place was quick and did ok, but it was TORTURE for our little boy. A haircut for him is like a life and death fight. It was draining for him as well as us. We avoided haircuts for as long as we could because it was very stressful and draining. Thank you Locks & Tots for giving us a little bit of normalcy in this crazy hectic world of sensory issues and autism that we are now navigating.
