I’ve paid Brendan real money to shoot for me on several occasions and can testify not only that he’s a gifted photographer, but more importantly, he’s just a joy to work with, even when it’s been at short notice, or at less than the rate he deserves.
He’s a good man and an excellent snapper!

First I need to declare a personal interest, as I am a friend. But if I didn’t like Brendan’s stuff I would just pretend not to have seen the FB post and ignored this. I think his landscapes are particularly brilliant, as the selection of frame, from panoramic to small detail, along with the production techniques really transmit the atmosphere of their locations. Check out the cover to the Collected Poems of Norman McCaig for a good example of his work. Similarly with the portraits and interiors, you get a sense of someone painstakingly composing a shot to reflect the feel of the subject. Even works with the food stuff, which I imagine must be extremely hard. Giving four stars because 5 would look biassed.
