Best of the best in local pubs. Live music, great food, stunning service and always reasonable prices. On top of consistently nailing the fundamental elements of a solid bar and restaurant. McGearys shines brighter still as a linchpin in the local community. Continuely bringing diverse collectives together for local causes, fundraisers and more. I will always raise a glass, raise a burger and raise my voice in support of this little local treasure.

McGeary’s is a place where literally everybody knows your name. It doesn’t matter if you are a politician, artist, state worker or college student, everyone is welcomed with open arms. Oh, and the food, servers and bartender are pretty amazing as well. FIVE STARS!

Having grown up in Buffalo, this was my first stop after moving to Albany as it is a legit Buffalo Bills backers bar. Felt at home from the minute I walled through the door – the staff remembered my name and what I drank after only one visit; Tess is fantastic and runs a great bar. Great atmosphere, great staff, great food (black and blue burger is my personal favorite). GO BILLS!
