With the opportunity to move west from my home town of Orono, Ontario I opted to roll the dice and go for broke by starting my business in a new province with no connections and nothing to lose. Thankfully my education, guts and sheer luck out shone my extreme shyness and Pawsh not only was born but has thrived.
An Animal Care graduate from Sheridan College (2002) I am able to utilize my college education on a daily basis and also furthered my knowledge by obtaining my Certificate in Professional Pet Sitting (Pet Sitters International, 2014) & Certificate in Professional Dog Walking (dogtec, 2014).
My exploits in continuing education are far from over as I aspire to become a certified dog trainer, feline behaviorist, animal massage therapist, reiki healer & pet loss & bereavement counselor.
Previous animal care experience includes working at Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto and work placement at Bowmanville animal shelter, Trillium Morgan Horse farm as well as the local zoo, Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park (formerly Orono Exotic Jungle Cat World) where I worked with everything from million dollar race horses, domestic dogs & cats to pocket pets, parrots, reptiles & exotics of all sizes (tigers, leopards & wolves included!).
