Amanda at Mountaineer Basset Hounds has been a true blessing to my family. She has provided us with a healthy, sweet, smart and entertaining Basset. She has always been available for doggie advice and truly cares about all of her pups and their families. I have stayed in close contact with Amanda since we got our pup ( almost three years ago ) It’s a comfort to know she’s just a phone call away for advice or just to share a funny Basset story.

Mountaineer Basset Hounds – oh, where do I start? Amada Wright and her family is managing this business with love, care, putting the entire heart and soul to every step she takes in raising beautiful, healthy and true pure Basset Hounds. From day 1 Amanda is nurturing the new pups into the world providing the care that comes from heart – nothing is too hard or too complicated for her – because all is done genuinely from inside, from an inside genuine love for the breed – her unconditional love for those creature goes all the way through the thorough selection of the families who will be entrusted with her pups – those families are bonded for life not only to the little pups but instantly bond with Amanda who is winning you instantly with her genuine character, honesty – simple bliss to deal with such true people. Getting my Basset was a very personal journey as this was a little girl dream that could became true only now when I count 50 years of life – but I could not ask for a better and more meaningful journey to get me and my dream coming true – I cannot envision my life without my little pup Rumpole and without Amanda as a friend in my life – my life is richer and more meaningful because of the lessons of meaningful life I have learnt from Amanda in all this process getting me to fulfilling my dream – I cannot recommend her more, and wish more business in any field would be able to conduct their day to day activities with the diligence and beauty of character as Amanda does. Supported fully by her wonderful family who is entirely dedicated to this breed – the Wrights are one of a kind family as individual persons and as a business conducting their daily activity with integrity, special care for the crucial aspects of the business but most of all having in mind one solely idea: the wellbeing of each and every one of the pups born in the family till the moment he/she is entrusted to the new families they will live. Hats down Amanda for the integrity with which you go about this beautiful business – the love and care you show your pups and follow up with the new Basset Hounds parents can teach us how pure life and genuine love can make a perfect tandem, conquering hearts and winning respect – I simply love this family! I connected immediately with the Wrights and I was humbled and grateful at the same time for all I have learnt from them both about the breed and about life in general – I was welcomed in the family for a day – one of the most meaningful day of my life – I have seen how real LOVE works – The Wright are truly doing what they do because they love what they do – from the heart, from deep within – the result can be only one – an overwhelming gratitude to be able to collide with special people like the Wrights – and when one’s dream comes true because of such special people – the humbling is really overwhelming – I treasure my little puppy Rumpole and will always be grateful for having had him spend his first 12 weeks in his life with one of the most dedicated people I know – my pup and my life is enriched because of the Wrights which I call them: MY FRIENDS – if anybody derserves the awards – is Amanda, her entire family and … in a word: The Mountaineer Basset Hounds in West Virginia – … (Anca Halip – North Vancouver, Canada)
