As a cat lover I can’t think of a better rescue organization than Nine Lives Foundation! My daughter adopted kittens from NLF this year and the rescue provided top veterinary care for the kittens before sending them home – including spay/neuter, microchip, vet exam and treatment for any pre-existing conditions. The rescue also helped my daughter when she found homeless kittens outside – they accepted the kittens into their foster care, provided them with medical care, and found good forever homes for all of them. Thank you Nine Lives for all that your do!!!

I am a volunteer with a small shelter where Nine Lives comes and has a spay/neuter clinic every month and sometimes twice. Dr. Rudiger has rescued hundreds of sick/injured/orphaned cats and kittens from our shelter alone. We have a problem, she and Nine Lives is there to help. She has never turned away an animal in need. There just are not enough words or tie to express our gratitude to her. In addition to helping our little shelter Dr. Rudiger and Nine Lives Foundation has help thousands of cats and kittens to have a chance at a loving and wonderful life. We can not thank them enough.

I adopted two cats in 2014 and immediately fell in love with not only the place but the people who work and volunteer there. They also let us borrow some traps so we could trap some neighborhood stray mama cats so we could get them spayed(as well as spay/neuter their kittens). They truly care for all cats and kittens and help their surrounding communities in ensuring that all cats and kittens are spayed and neutered. I love Nine Lives Foundation!

They got my attention when they saved Smurf & Wanda but they have saved so many cats over the last few years. They work tirelessly to help cats. I love them for this and that is why I contribute to them and support Nine Lives!

Nine Lives has never denied my adding bottle baby kittens to their rescue. Meeting me at 10:30 at night to hand over 3 kittens who lost their Mom was our first meeting. I have fostered many, many bottlers for them thru the years. Not long ago they took in a urgent male adult with cancer on his ears and face that I saw on the another shelter list. Surgery was done and he is now in a wonderful fospice home and showered with love. Dare I mention the story of Smurf and Wanda.

We are fans of Nine Lives Foundation in Redwood City, CA because Dr. Rudiger spayed and neutered 12 cats and kittens that we found. She and her team including Trish and Carol Scola, and Kelvin Yue and David and many others cared for and helped us by adopting out five of the kittens for us. They save so many lives. Dr. Rudiger has been available to save a cat in trauma when no one else would open their doors after hours.

I must admit, I have never actually been to the Nine Lives Foundation site. I learned of their truly remarkable work through the Friends of NL, FB. Veterinarian, Dr. Rudiger, is a saint! She will do whatever it takes to assist even the most desperate cat with her skill and compassion. The shelter itself is maintained in a manner that optimizes life, as the kitties await adoptions to their forever homes. I am impressed with the commitment of Dr. R., the staff, and the volunteers at NLF!

Nine Lives Foundation took in and cared for an ailing senior stray cat from my neighborhood and made sure he was comfortable, loved and received the best possible care (which turned out to be hospice care) in his final few months.
It was an act of grace and immense kindness that I will never forget.
They are heroes to cats. I have supported them ever since, whenever I am able to.
They really, really care and they make a huge, positive difference in our community through the awesome work they do at their shelter and their clinic.
Their low-cost spay and neuter services, as well as TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) services for feral cats, are essential components of shelter reform practices that are proven to save thousands of cats’ lives. Redwood City is so lucky to have Nine Lives Foundation in our city!

Ever since I found out about Nine Lives Foundation I have been amazed by just how much they do for cats. It’s incredible to see how many lives they save each and every day by routinely rescuing “unadoptable” kittens and cats from high-kill shelters, as well as from at-risk homeless situations – including sick or injured, stray, or even feral cats! These felines then receive the most high quality medical care, and a loving nurturing environment to stay in for as long as they need until they find their forever home. NLF also saves countless lives by conducting extensive trap-neuter-return projects to help control feral cat overpopulation and thus preventing more unwanted kittens from being born each year and entering our local shelters. They truly are unique in what they do and I have never seen a community of people more compassionate, caring and tirelessly dedicated to the welfare of cats. I adopted four kittens from them and I couldn’t be happier!

Nine Lives does a miraculous job saving so many homeless kitties. One of ours came from there and they spared no effort to heal her from ringworm before releasing her to us.

Nine Lives Foundation has a goal to spay and neuter all cats in the San Francisco Bay Area and stop the needless breeding and suffering of private and feral cats. As a true No Kill shelter for cats, they adopt out cats that most shelters wouldn\’t even consider for adoption. With a dedicated staff and many volunteers who devote their lives to these cats I can\’t say enough about this organization.

I adopted the most wonderful kitty from Nine Lives. They spayed her, microchipped her and made certain she was healthy and up to date with her shots before I adopted her. She is now a most loved and valued member of our household.
