I absolutely LOVE Dr. Friedell. He is professional, personable, and you can tell he really cares about his patients. When I first saw him (a year and a half ago now) I was absolutely terrified as I had had some unpleasant experiences at other doctors, but he was so pleasant and really made me feel comfortable. He really listens to every concern and does his best to find out what’s wrong. After my first visit I ended up having to have surgery, and he made sure I knew exactly what the risks were, and made sure to inform me of the exact procedures he would take, all while still keeping me calm and comfortable. After the surgery, he called me personally to make sure I was recovering alright. He continues to be one of my favorite doctors that I see, and I very highly recommend him if you’re looking for someone.

Dr. Aleena Lakhanpal is AMAZING!! She took the time to really get know me, and answered all of my questions. She was very thorough and made me feel at ease in every way possible. It’s been my best experience yet. The practice itself is very clean and everyone is extremely nice and welcoming. Overall I had a wonderful experience!

I really cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Marc Feldstein with Northwestern Women’s Health Associates – he is as professional and he is personable! If you want to feel confident in not just a doctor but an entire practice – I encourage you to look at this group. My family and many of my friends have been with him for over a decade and really I am proud to recommend him and the practice!

Hands down, the greatest doctor I’ve ever had. He delivered my first baby via c section and one year later, my scar looks great, I am in great health after having had preeclampsia, and I consider myself so lucky to have found Dr Friedell after moving to Chicago. I recently had my annual exam with Dr Friedell and he called me on a weekend to let me know that he had a last minute conflict during our scheduled time that Monday and he found me a new time that worked for both of us on Monday. During my visit, he was kind, thorough, and explained everything well (as always!) I recommend Dr Friedell to everyone and will continue to do so.

Large office, a lot of providers at this location. I see Dr. Lisa Brunengraber who is fantastic! I’m so glad I found her- she’s caring, through, and knowledgeable. I felt very at ease when I left the office. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Friedell has been wonderful to work with for both of my pregnancies. He’s very knowledgeable and always had answers to my questions. He always took the time to make sure I knew what was going on and explained anything I needed to know more about, and we had fun along the way. I highly recommend him!

I have been meaning to write this review for almost a year. I couldn’t in good faith not write a review for the best doctor under the sun. He quite literally is the reason my baby is alive and thriving and turning a year old in April! I moved to Chicago in February and met Dr. Friedell for the first time at my 20 week anatomy scan. Something was wrong–my baby was far too tiny (measuring 4-5 weeks behind)…we did not know the cause of the IUGR. Dr. Friedell did everything he could for me, referring me to MFM specialists etc., even calling me late in the night to make sure I was ok after the bad news. The MFM’s we saw were very knowledgeable but thought that there was something wrong with my baby and had little faith he would make it. Dr. Friedell made time to call me after every appointment I had with the MFM’s and we discussed the plan. Usually, in cases like these, the patient should transfer to a specialist. Dr. Friedell was very straight with me and revealed that he is not an expert in this area but that he would continue to be my primary and consult the MFM’s if he felt uncomfortable managing us at any time if that’s what we wanted. He was the only one of all the doctors we saw that said in a nutshell “I don’t know if your baby will make it, but if you want to try, we will try together to get him as far as we can and save him”. He also suggested this might be a placental issue not a “my baby” issue, which the MFM specialists were adimant about. So we chose him over the experts. When the time came to deliver me based on my baby’s poor heart rate (decelerations), the MFMs were COMFORTABLE SENDING ME HOME for outpatient monitoring. Dr. Friedell had a 6th sense and hospitalized me. My baby’s heart rate dropped over night and we almost lost him. We got my 2 lb little tart out right in the nick of time. Had Dr. Friedell not been managing us, my son would have died that night under the care of 5 specialists. Dr. Friedell is bold, gives it to you straight, is thorough and doesn’t miss a beat. Additionally, it says a lot about his character that he will advocate for his patient and take a stand against the recommendations of the consulted specialists (even when he is outnumbered). If I ever have another baby, I will be moving back to chicago to see him. Thank you Dr. Friedell for giving us hope and for saving our son.

I have been going to this office for little over a month now due to some complications! I have been seen Dr Friedell, he is very caring and always made sure he answers all my concerns. I am beyond impressed with my experience with Dr Friedell and his PA ” Amber”. Dr Friedell called me many times after hours to talk to me about my medical results and answers any concerns that I have. I would highly recommend Dr Friedell.
