For years I have had a strong passion for photography of all genres including underwater, but I always get drawn back to portrait work and photographing people.
I actually begun my journey into digital photography when my daughter chose it as a GSCE subject. I thought “How better to help her learn than learn myself.” Starting with entry level Canon digital SLRs we set out to learn all we could. I quickly found my niche, photographing people, particularly at special events like Birthdays and Weddings.
I found learning photography and photographic editing came naturally to me, my creative background making it easy for me to create a style within my work, a style that is both personal and natural.
When someone asked me to photograph their wedding as the sole professional photographer I felt a great sense of pride and nervousness. I agreed and the couple were thrilled with their images, and it was then I knew my passion could also be my work.
My other interests include motorcycles, particularly my husband’s Harley Davidson Soft Tail, and motorcycle racing. We go whenever possible and I hone my skills at sports and high speed photography. I am also a qualified SCUBA diver, and as I mentioned earlier, do use my cameras underwater as well.
