We’ve adopted a dog from them. They got him medical care and saved his life. There have been lost dogs in our neighborhood, and they have come by to pick them up, ensuring that the dogs are safe while the owners are located. They care so much about every animal. Their dedication is amazing!

I have both a dog and a cat from PAW and I truly appreciate how they screen potential adopters and work really hard to find a good match. I have a puppy mill rescue from PAW and she is a pretty damaged little dog but PAW was always helpful when we first brought her home

PAW is constantly going above and beyond for not the animals in their care but also to involved the community! The care the staff have for the animals is unbelievable!

The staff at PAW give their all for the animals in their care! The adoption process finds the right home for each animal; an excellent to perfect fit! They rejoice when an animal is adopted and they mourn if for any reason beyond their control an animal dies. They go above and beyond for the animals and for the people!

I adopted a cat from PAW animal shelter in Ft. Madison. They were through w/ the application. They were very kind and helpful in picking out the right cat for me. The place was clean and the animals were obviously happy and well cared for! They do fantastic work at PAW and Sandy is very devoted to her work! Very deserving of this award for sure!!

All of the staff and volunteers love the animals so much! They go out of their way to find great homes and good matches for all of the dogs and cats!
