This place is spectacular. You don’t have to feel guilty about the cats you don’t adopt because you know they’ll be happy here. They are very friendly and caring about the animals the take care of.

This is an amazing rescues that has worked hard to place dogs and cats in need of loving forever homes for almost 35 years now. Every animal is treated with so much love and kindness until they find a new home. The shelter runs on nothing but donations and the dedication of it’s volunteers.

Pet Welfare takes legitimate heart breaking surrenders,and ones they know are really “throw aways”, but they are not “throw aways” to the staff and volunteers at PW. It is expensive to rehabilitate the ones with one or multiple physical issues, but they put their hearts and dedication into each one. Dedicated volunteers love and care for the animals hoping each one finds a family to love them.

The volunteers at Pet Welfare helped my family find the perfect pup, and we could not be happier with our newest family member. They listened to our preferences, understood our needs, and allowed us to interact with several dogs on several occasions because they wanted the match to work for us and for the dog. It is very obvious that the staff members know the dogs very well because they were able to answer all of our questions—personality, eating habits, energy level, medical needs, etc. — and, I am sure the same is true with the cats. We have been recommending Pet Welfare as an adoption source to friends looking for pets because our experience was so positive.
