I have been with Phoenix Feather Academy of Music for the last 11 years with two of my kids. Kirsten Weymar sets a strong foundation in music for kids and makes it fun and challenging at the same time. We love the school and Kirsten, she is a very talented musician herself. The school also offers private lessons in piano, guitar, voice and so on with a team of wonderful teachers. Go Phoenix!!

Miss Kirsten has created an amazing program after many years of fine tuning! My girls love the fun setting and Ms. Kirsten’s silly ways. It’s homework and attendance flexible which we really appreciate. She supports the children so that no one falls through the cracks. We highly recommend Phoenix Feather Academy of Music!

Where can I start? This is hands down the most amazing place for your kids to start and develop their musical life. Ms Kirsten is an exceptional human being with a heart for kids and music that is unmatched! She is fun, funny and full of enthusiasm at the same time as being a musical genius. Ms. K is an amazing music teacher. She doesn’t just teach “piano”. She provides a fun environment where her students through her lesson plans gain an appreciation for music and in so doing in turn learn to play piano beautifully as well. And not only that but they can read music, play in front of an audience, and they learn to play together with others. If you hated piano lessons when you were a kid but understand the importance of music for your child’s brains check out Ms K’s class. You won’t be disappointed, she is amazing!

My child has been learning to play the piano under the guidance of Ms. Kirsten for five years. She is getting the best training from Ms. Kirsten in a fun, stress-free environment. My ten year old loves to show off her piano playing skills and has gained immense college-level musical knowledge from Ms. Kirsten in five years!

All three of my daughters attend Phoenix Feather — we’ve been there for over 4 years now. The classes are brilliant. Kirsten excels not only at teaching piano but also at motivating students to learn. She teaches musical theory and solfege alongside piano. My older two are doing musical theory this year in high school and finding it ridiculously easy as a result. One of my girls also picked up trumpet and has found much of Kirsten’s teaching applicable making her trumpet lessons more successful.
