Pike County Humane Society is an awesome organization dedicated to the welfare of animals. They provide a safe, healthy and happy home to the many animals rescued from abuse, surrendered or found as strays. They provide a much needed service to our community in assisting residents with their need for low cost animal vaccines, food, etc. They run on donations and fund raising events. The animals are safe there and able to socialize outside all day and sleep in warm kennel areas at night. Fabulous staff and volunteers make this all possible.

I adopted a tripod dog who had his front leg amputated only a month before I adopted him. He’s come with his own set of challenges and PCHS has been there to support me while Clifford and I adjust to our new life together. They have gone above and beyond to make sure Cliff and I are doing well. I can’t thank them enough.

Pike County Humane Society gave us several of our best friends, Garfield a ch cat, Quinn, and Dora.
They work tirelessly with little funds all for the animals. They are the most caring people.

The PCHS is a nice, clean facility full of personable volunteers. You can tell the staff really cares about the animals in their shelter and that they take great care of them. I’ve never heard of any issues with an animal that was adopted from the PCHS.

The Pike County Humane Society is a group of totally dedicated folks who make the welfare of the animals their top concern. The facility is a terrific place for the critters to stay awaiting a foster or adoption home.

These people are active 24/7 saving, helping animals. So dedicated, so effective, so much love for those in need. Thank goodness they exist in this area of the state! Plus they keep their followers advised of status of adopted pets and of lost/found scenarios. What an awesome and amazing group!!!!

I adopted the love of my life from this shelter. I’ve also had two friends adopt from here. They are wonderful people. They truly care about the animals and I think that’s the most important thing when it comes to animal rescue. For some people, it’s just a job. Here, it’s a way of life.

The Pike County Humane Society was the agency that help me meet my best friend Cody! I could’nt have asked for a better buddy than him. They took care of him and made sure he had all of his shots and was chipped and neutered before i picked him up. They rescued Cody from a kill shelter down south and because they did that, he was able to spend the rest of his days with me. He passed away in May of 2016. I also work with Pike County Humane Society on calls and they are always willing to answer the call to save an animals life! Keep it up PCHS!!
