Our dog Baxter came from them. He is a perfect match for our family. They are supper sweet with animals and the people they place those said animals with. Thank you for all the hard work you do!

We adopted our dog, Marty, from Riverside Rescue in March 2008. He is the best dog! They made it very easy and didn’t try to charge us a crazy amount of adoption fees. I’d absolutely adopt from them again, but for now 2 dogs and 1 cat ( all from rescues) we are full:)

Riverside Rescue began in 2003 due to the overwhelming need for a local animal shelter. Gaining 501 (c) 3 non-profit status in 2005, they have been able to help dogs, cats and other small critters in the northeast region of New Hampshire and Vermont. They are a NO-KILL animal rescue shelter for all breeds of dogs and cats.
They operate solely on donations and every penny counts. More money goes out than comes in and they need help get the funds to continue this much needed service. All staff as well as board members are volunteer positions and are NOT paid!
Sharon goes out of her way to help strays and people find their perfect match for their forever homes. She is a super helpful individual who cares about the community and the animals brought to the shelter. She will spend time discussing rescues and animals in need of help and answer any questions you might have on their care. I was lucky enough to have been matched with a little Shih Tzu recently who has made a wonderful addition to our home. We are so lucky to have Riverside Rescue in our small community. It fills a great need.

I am an Animal Control Officer and Riverside Rescue’s services are exceptional. Always willing to help, a wealth of information. Friendly. They take exceptional care of any and all animals. I highly recommend them any chance I get.

We were able to adopt two dogs from Riverside Rescue and they were a perfect fit for our family. I love the sincere care they have for animals and how they make sure they are healthy for adoption with shots and spay/neutering. I also love how they check out older dogs for character quirks so that people adopting them know whether they are good with children, other dogs or cats and if then they would be a good fit for their families. When the time comes I would certainly get another dog from them.
