I love this rescue because the animals that come here are socialized and trained until they are adopted. The volunteers try to make sure that the animal has the best possible chance at success.

when we board our dogs there they treat them like their own family. It’s leaves our fur babies feeling less stress, so we can travel with ease.

We moved to Wahoo in 2012 and have utilized SCLP for our male maltese. We have had him stay overnight as well daycare. Mickey has separation anxiety problems and the volunteers all know this and give him extra support. When I was stricken with an emergency surgery December of 2014 SCLP took care of Mickey for a number of days. Debora, the director, even brought him to our house when I got home from the hospital. We know our boy is well taken care of and have no worries leaving him in SCLP’s care. We salute SCLP, the directors, and all of their volunteers. Best place in Saunders County for sure.

This rescue has been such a blessing to our small community and surrounding communities. They have such big hearts and genuinely care for each and every pet. They also have provided my family 3 of the most loveable pups ever.

We have been lucky enough to get two rescue puppies from SCLP. They took the time to find the perfect match to our family. They are the best pups ever! Thank you SCLP!!!!

Wonderful, no-kill shelter that works tirelessly in the community to re-home adoptable dogs and cats of all ages. They will also work to socialize a young dog so that it can get accepted into various therapy dog programs. THE most compassionate and caring group of people you will ever meet!

SCLP is a well run all volunteer organization. They have found forever homes for over 1000 dogs and countless cats. They work with new owners to insure adoption success. All animals are spayed or neutered. They have made a tremendous difference to animals and people in Saunders County, Nebraska.
