Skin Kitchen does quality work and has amazing artists. I am impressed with how they did free tattoos in exchange for donations to a local animal shelter, to me, that shows what kind of people are employed at Skin Kitchen.

All of the artists were friendly and more than willing to help each other out, be giving each other feedback. The artist that did my tattoo, Bailey, was super nice and gave me the run down on everything before we started. The design was a sunset colored rose and it was perfect! I love it! Healed nicely!

Skin Kitchen and Jack Lowe is the only tattoo shop in Iowa that my wife and I will go to. Incredible work and a friendly atmosphere. I tell everyone that is looking to get a tattoo to check them out.

Bailey gave me a tattoo recently and it turned out beautiful. Not only was she amazing, the rest of the employees were nice as well. They offered her help and feedback during the entire tattoo. I would definitely recommend Skin Kitchen to a friend and plan on going back! I had an amazing experience!

Skin kitchen is such an amazing shop! Of course the first thing you’ll notice when walking in is how nicely everything is set up, it’s a beautiful shop.
All of the artists and the front desk ladies are so friendly and helpful, all the work that comes out of that place is clean and great customer service.
Highly recommend skin kitchen for all of your tattoo and piercing needs!

Skin kitchen is my#1 choice for tattoos in Des Moines. The friendly, professional staff always makes me calm and comfortable. Bailey did a fantastic job on my most recent tattoo, I love it! I will not go anywhere else for tattoos!

Bailey did my tattoo, and it turned out amazing I have multiple tattoos and hers is by far the best! She’s an amazing artist with a bright future! On top of that the atmosphere at skin kitchen tattoo is amazing everyone is so kind and friendly and their all very supportive over each other it’s a great place to get a tattoo!

I have been going to Skin Kitchen for 15 years now and I have NEVER been dissapointed with the service. They have one of the cleanest shops I’ve been in. Even during remodeling the shop has been clean. The artists aren’t just there to make a buck, they are in fact artists. They will give you a run of the mill tattoo from flash art if that’s what you really want but they always try to make it unique to you. All of the artists there are just that, artists. Anyone can give you a tattoo, Skin Kitchen gives you a work of art!

Excellent shop!, very professional but still fun and approachable!, I have several pieces from several artists at SKT!, I get compliments all the time, whether it\’s your first or fifty first tatto, the staff and artists at SKT will make you feel like family! I suggest them to friends and family with confidence that their experience will be as awesome as all of mine! I am currently on the schedule to see Jack in May and I. Can. Not. Wait!!

I’ve been going to Skin Kitchen for quite a few years now, I’ve been to other shops regrettably. I love going to Skin Kitchen cause it’s such an inviting place and everyone that works there are really nice and down to earth and go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience weather it’s your first tattoo or your hundredth. I can trust the artist are going to do a great job no matter the size of tattoo. Best shop in DesMoines hands down
