Studio Eli Ross

This was my third visit to Eli Ross. My first experience two years ago with microblading was a success with Nadia Jobin, an excellent & experienced aesthetician. One year later, I returned for a microblading colour boost as the colour had faded and was very pleased with the results. My hair is black & want dark brows to match my hair. Yesterday I visited the new Eli Ross location in Decarie square for my annual colour boost. Upon arrival I inquired about pixie brows and was told by the receptionist / assistant Dasha that I could not get them due to the fact that I already had microblading and that pixel brows could only be done on virgin brows. Fine. I was there for my color boost to my microblading procédure anyway. No biggie. Upon meeting Elya Noun, the lady who would be doing my procedure, she told me that she would be doing a colour correction today as my eyebrows had taken hints of blue due to exposure to the sun. I told her no problem as long as they are dark (closest colour to black as possible) as my hair is black. She said yes and told me she will be using the darkest color possible. 3 hours later (!!!) I was wondering what was taking so long as my two previous microblading sessions only lasted about 1 hour. Prior to the “reveal”, Elya told me they will be red and too light for my liking as she was unable to put dark on me to correct the colour… ummmm how is this only being told to me now?! Upon the reveal, I was shocked!! My eyebrows were a rusty reddish / brown colour. She told me that I will probably not like the colour because they will be too light so to come back in 6-8 weeks to make them darker (more $$$)…. no pictures were taken as I’m sure she realized she fudged the job. I looked ridiculous. Clown like. My other two experiences doing microblading I confidently walked out of the salon. This time was not the case whatsoever. When it came time to pay, Dasha informed me that I got powdered brows. What?! She said that’s what you inquired about anyways. How did I get powdered brows if I was told by Elya that powdered brows could not be done on very dark eyebrows?! I came to the Eli Ross studio for a microblading annual colour boost and left with something completely different that I did not ask for, am not satisfied with but still had to pay 280$ plus tax. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received. I think this studio has gone down in the quality of the aestheticians hired. They spoke Russian to each other in front of customers which I find unprofessional but that’s beside the point. Being worked on for close to 3 hours and leaving with something you did not ask for is unacceptable. Will not be going back and definitely no longer recommend this place.
