I adopted a little Multipoo from this rescue group. They were wonderful to work with giving me important information. The foster mom did a great job working with dog and sharing information about the dog. My little dog is every thing she told me and more. I am very happy with my dog & the great job they did with her. Also they responed quickly to my inquiring her. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pet.

I first learned of this organization at the animal hospital where I work. The members brought their animals to us and always faithfully followed our doctor’s treatment plans. They are financially responsible and are able to care for the animals they rescue. I became a foster for the group, and now know first hand about how thorough they are with preventive care, providing everything I need for my fosters. This group truly knows how to rescue animals and provide them with the best of care, and they also carefully place them into their new homes when the time is right.

HSS takes great pride in what they do! You can see & feel the passion in their volunteers, as well as the appreciation & adoration from the animals they rescue.

Christine rescued a litter of puppies from me after we found them in my mother’s yard. My mother is 84 years old and is under going Chemo. The mother dog had the puppies under a tool shed. My mother was in her yard and the mother dog came up and barked at her, she was frightened of the dog and called animal control. They caught the mother and took her, five or six days later we found puppies, they had crawled out from under the shed and were near death. They had’t eaten in almost a week. One was already dead. We took them home and fed them. I took them with me to work the next day thinking that I would have to take them to the pound, I work full time and didn’t see how I could take care of them. I kept searching on Facebook and someone contacted Christine, she said she would take them but first they tried to find the mother dog, when they got in touch with the pound, they said they did not have the mother, she had escaped when they were unloading her. So my husband met Christine in Newnan that afternoon and she got them. Oh, I was so relieved, I was in tears all day thinking about how I did not want to take them to the pound. Christine sends me pictures of the puppies thriving. Unfortunately one did die, she said it was the runt. It was a sad situation all the way around. My mom felt really bad about it, but I told her at least this way the puppies will be adopted and have good homes and not left homeless and struggling to survive. I will always be grateful to Christine for doing this. What a kind Heart!!!
