TINY Bug DOG Rescue

Tiny bug rescue is run well, truly caring and spending resources and talent to work at solutions for their sweet charges. We are so thankful to have adopted from them, they spent lots on our pooch on surgery and treatment help save his life. Then made sure they found the right match for him, and they sure did!

Truly amazing place, you can tell that Susan loves each and every fur baby that comes through the rescue. I’m so glad I found her when a little baby I rescued needed a home and I could not provide one for them.

I foster and have adopted from this rescue. No one gives more of their time and money to saving lives than Susan. I\’m honored to know her and the team of wonderful people that help run Tiny Bug Dog Rescue.

I had a dog who was very clingy. Winnie, a beautiful Schnauzer. I felt so guilty for having to leave her, go to work, go anywhere without her. I called Susan and asked her what I could do. And she offered a slew of different suggestions. I tried everything and still Winnie was stressed. She suggested that maybe she needed a home where she was THE ONLY other living soul, that she would take her, get her microchipped, undated on her shots and get her spayed. She said she had a woman who owned a house here and north, and that Winnie would go EVERYWHERE with her. We decided as a family, it would be the kindest thing to give Winnie this gift of love that we were failing at. In August of 2015, Winnie went to live in her new home. We receive updates about her and she is the happiest girl! Making this heartbreaking decision was difficult. But when I turned to Susan and Tiny Bugs, they tried everything to keep her with us, give us resources I didn’t even know existed. Knowing our furr baby is happy is the best feeling ever. That August, I rehomed my furr baby Winnie, but gained an amazing friend. Susan is kind and amazing. Thank you so much for everything Susan! Today, almost 2 years later, I am now a foster for Tiny Bugs. The dogs we see come in have all different kinds of histories. Puppy mill dogs, backyard breeders, abandoned and abused babies. Old and forgotten babies, and she does not turn her back on ANY of them. There are people you meet in life, and you say…. How this person is so WHATEVER, but with Susan, I cannot think of 1 unkind thing to say about her except she has given her entire life to animal rescue. But is that a negative thing? NO, Not when you can see a puppy come in, almost dead. One that you give MOUTH TO MOUTH resuscitation to, rush to the vet, where they flat line 3 times. So weak because they are 5 weeks old, full of worms and fleas. Where her, Judy, and Karen hold these babies, give them life, show them love and give them their all. Tiny Bugs is amazing and NOONE deserves this award more than them!
