I adopted 2 of my fur babies from Brookhaven Shelter. The volunteers are amazing! The shelter is always clean and the animals are truly cared for!

Went and adopted my boy rob from there, he is an amazing dog! I have a very unique family situation with 2 special needs boys & 1 typical boy. It was hard to find a dog that fit all the personalities. I worked with a volunteer named Valerie & her son Matthew, he works there. They helped us for the perfect match for our family ROB! I had had Rob for about four months and he fell ill I call the shelter they told me to bring Him in immediately, I did so and thankfully they were able to save his life once again. The staff at Brookhaven care so much more about the animals than they do themselves that is evident. The staff there goes above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for all that they do for the fur babies of Long Island! A big thank you to Brookhaven animal shelter and for all you people out there searching for a pet this is the place to go!

Brookhaven animal shelter is 100 % for the animals , the love and care given by the staff and volunteers is amazing ! They always goes up and beyond for the animal waiting for forever homes ! Those dogs and cats are loved so very much with brookhaven animal shelter they are their moms and dads until a forever family is found !! Each hoilday those babies are dressed up and they are always doing something special for them !! Wish other shelters would follow in their footsteps

Any time i needed help with cats n kittens and even stray dogs Ashley and the shelter staff have always been there to help They are wonderful
