Dr. Crouch repaired 2 perineal hernias on my miniature dachshund Oscar. He is an excellent surgeon who truly cares about his patients. Oscar is the smallest dog Dr. Crouch has done this surgery on, He is doing great now and I’m sure had it not been for the talents of Dr. Crouch, I probably wouldn’t still have my little guy here with me. Thank you Dr. Crouch, Oscar and I are very greatful to you!

I am a veterinary nurse and have worked in general practice for over 15 years. Dr. Crouch has helped thousands of dogs and cats recover from traumatic injuries over the years and I have been able to observe his expertise in previous patients of mine. Watching a dog or cat suffering from a physical trauma is heart wrenching as well as seeing their human family suffer due to the stress and worry that is often times associated. Dr. Crouch and his top notch staff has provided excellent care to many furry friends. I have and will continue to refer clients to Dr. Crouch and his hardworking, loving staff at Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery. Thank you Dr. Crouch for all you do!

Dr Crouch is an outstanding surgeon. Our beagle was hit by a car last fall. He sustained many injuries, the worst being a broken femur with a piece of the bone completely missing. Dr. Crouch worked his magic. “Copper” is running again!! Heartfelt thanks for his expertise! If anyone deserves this award, he does!!!!

I will make a long story short, Dr. Crouch, called me one day, and told me of a Blue Heeler pup that had been hit by a car. He asked me if I would give the pup a home, that he would do the surgery to save the pup, on his own dime ( David, did the surgery for free), time was of the essence and if I couldn’t take “Jedi”, he would have to put him down, because his injuries were so severe. I, said “Yes, of course!”. I wish I could upload the pictures of Jed, so you could see this bundle of dynamite, I am so grateful…

Dr. David Crouch has worked so very hard to make sure he offers the best in care for his clients and their beloved pets. He is extremely talented with his surgical skills and stays current with the latest procedures available to be able to fix very complicated orthopedic and neurological issues. He is meticulous with his hospital. When you walk in, you wouldn’t even know that you are in a pet hospital. I was very impressed that each room has it’s own air filtration system so as not to spread any germs or bacteria while performing invasive procedures to ensure a safe and healthy recovery. Dr. Crouch takes care of his team and his community. He has such a big heart, and he is very generous with his time, money, and talents. He has fixed 100’s of pets in our community for different organizations. He is also very passionate about Pilots N Paws, where he flies to other states to rescue pets who would have been euthanized and flies them to rescue groups who can place them into a good home. My vote most definitely goes to Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery. They deserve it!!

David Crouch is a wonderful surgeon and his staff members are truly loving, competent, empathetic, and positive. More than just a successful surgeon, willing to take risks to give animals the best lives they can have, Dr. Crouch goes above and beyond to donate his own time and resources for rescue both in and outside of our community. My cat had knee surgery to repair a broken kneecap in 2016. We were worried he’d never be able to jump and run like a normal feline, but due to Dr. Crouch’s expertise and skill, you’d never know he was ever injured based on how much he loves to run, jump, and climb! Our kitty gets to live a normal, happy life thanks to Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery!

David is one of the best doctors in his field and he does so much for the animals on his own dime. He volunteers his time transporting homeless dogs to new homes with Pilots and Paws Program, which by the way is a great program. I have two dogs my family and I adopted and Dr. Crouch helped me with one of them that a problem. He is a great person and cares about animals and helping them. He deserves to win this award, I have never know another Doctor that is this passionate about what he does.

Dr. David Crouch and his veterinary surgical clinic perform miracles on animals every single day that others have deemed “impossible to correct” Nothing is impossible when you have the knowledge and the skills! Much of their time is also donated to rescue animals including flying Pilots N Paws missions to bring an injured animal to the clinic for surgery and then flying them back to the rescue organization. Truly the best of humanity devotes their time and talent to this clinic. Thank you for the important and life changing work you accomplish because you care!

Dr. Crouch and his entire staff are God sends to me and my Dixie, Peety and Casper. Dixie was a previous patient of Dr. Crouch, and now my newest baby Casper is under his care. Casper was abandoned in the Louisiana floods, was hit by a car and left along the side of the road for several days severely injured. He was spotted by a group of rescuers in the area assisting with displaced pets. Casper was treated at a local Veterinarian office, then transported to Asheville. I spoke to Dr. Crouch prior to transporting Casper and he was more than willing to help. Casper has an amputated rear leg, a hip joint fracture, a spine fracture and was malnourished. Dr. Crouch and his team have taken over Casper’s recovery and he improved quickly. Thanks to everyone at Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery the road of Caspers recovery was much easier to maneuver. We love this entire team, We thank them for the work that they do everyday!!!!

Dr. Crouch performed TPLO surgery on my labs real knees. That was over 8 years ago and I am so pleased with his recovery and quality of life. He will be celebrating his 11th birthday tomorrow! Western Carolina Veterinary Services is professional, caring and honest. I would not hesitate to use them again if needed. We are so blessed in Asheville to have this practice!

Dr. Crouch is amazing! He takes on the toughest cases, but nearly always has a positive outcome. He also has done some pro bono work, to make a quality of life possible for wonderful pets whose owners might not be able to afford specialty vet care. As a Pilots n’ Paws volunteer, he also gives of his own personal time and money to move at-risk pets to places where they have a possibility of a forever home. Dr. Crouch is as caring as he is brilliant, and his compassion and empathy is shared by the people who work with him.
